This research project was launched in 2014 in southern Cameroon. It explores the challenges in natural ecosystems management and local forestry governance. Specifically, it investigates how the diversity of institutional actors and the confusion over levels of authority have contributed to competition and tensions between local government authorities, traditional chiefs and local communities.
